The free healthy word of the day Kindness - the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.

Discuss the word "Kindness" with your child.   My youngest son often asks me to be kind to him when I'm punishing him.  I oblige him every time.  My students frequently write the word “kindness” on their leaves in the “Healthy Words” workshop. I have seen over 100 leaves with the word "kindness". Wow!  It's almost like they are voting for more "kindness".  This morning I applaud all of you who choose to be kind.  Be kind with your child today and share the meaning of the word "kindness" with them.  Enjoy your kindness and share it with everyone you can.

Discuss the word " Preparation " with your child.   Getting ready before we begin an activity is very beneficial.  Planning ahead, preparing for a task, or getting ready for activity will give you an advantage.  Think of all the moments you were prepared.  Celebrate the moments your child was prepared.  Everyday we have an opportunity to model preparation.  Stay prepared and enjoy your life.

Discuss the word "Grateful" with your child.  How important is it to be grateful? I have lived long enough to appreciate life.  There are so many reasons to be grateful.  We are all visitors, here.  How awesome is it to feel grateful, to feel thankful for whomever, or whatever we can.  Discuss being grateful with the people you love and the people that you care about.  Share the word grateful, with everyone, especially our children.  It is important for children to have an opportunity to be grateful.  Enjoy your lives and be grateful!
